How do I treat a burn?

How to figure out which burn you have and how to treat it?

  • About, 3-4 days ago I was trying to curl my hair and the curler hit my right cheek (on my face) for a bit. I didn't think much of it first because it did not hurt a lot so I did not run it under cold water. But now it is a scab and just yesterday there was some stuff oozing out. What type of burn is it and how do I treat it?

  • Answer:

Its just a common burn. I do it all the time with my straightner. I always clip my ear real good. Do not pick the scab or it will leave a nasty *** scar. And just apply Neosporin on it 4-5 times daily til the oozing stops or once it starts healing. Neosporin will help it heal faster, and tremendously help with a scar it could leave behind and prevent infection. The oozing is the stuff like what's inside a blister. But since it was four days ago, it might be a minor infection so delicately clean the area with warm water and mix a little peroxide in it. Then use the Neosporin often. Good luck hope this helped.

I would treat it like every other scab, try to let it fall off on it's own. Put slight pressure on the scab let it ooze out.

Hi, I heard Aloe vera, Vitamin E capsules and Neosprin would work better in the present time. Apply Aloe vera, Vitamin E and Neosprin on the scab and leave it for the night. Repeat the steps again if you feel better on the scab. Consult doctor soon if it does not heel up with the mixture.
