Symptoms of an ingrown toenail?
-
i have a feeling that i might have trimed my toenail too short and started an ingrown. im crazy worried about it but for right now it only hurts if i put pressure on one of the edges. if anyone knows if that is a sign of an ingrown and if there are any ways to prevent it from becoming worse with out seeing a doctor please help!

Answer:
Usually an ingrown toenail happens when the nail has turned back in on itself because it has been left to grow back into the top of the toe. It might just be painful because it is short, exposing the quick. If it is uncomfortable a chat with a practice nurse could help to put your mind at ease
