Can i take a shower with a loose toenail?

mmmm i hate when this happens. i get it from running tho. i usually clip it as short as i can, and then it wont hit into stuff and hurt. or u can wrap it with medical tape and it wont be able to move

Yes, you can take a shower. It might be dead, meaning that the toenail will come off. Are you covering it with some type of band-aid now? If it does come off , you can cover that area with a band-aid until it starts to grow back. This happened to a friend of mine. After your shower dry the toenail area carefully and use some type of anit-fungal cream. Use a fresh q-tip every time. If it gets any worse see a doctor.

ummm im not sure if yahoo answers is the right place to ask if it was me i would call a doctor (but since im only 10 i would ask my parents) just to make sure though cuz there are people who tell lies and you might end up getting hurt.

Just take a shower! Lol! I whacked my big toenail a few years back and it turned black and fell out. It never grew back properly. TBH I didn't really think about it all that much!

Yes it's safe and also gently wash your toe nail with some warm soapy water. If it's loose it will fall off eventually anyway. When you get out wipe it with an antiseptic wipe and put a band aid loosely around it If it gets infected visit a doctor as you may need an antibiotic such as Flucloxacillin.

Yes you can take a shower with a loose toenail. Actually, the moisture would be able to help you take some of the nail off, as it would loosen up the nail a bit. I had to do that a little bit of time ago. Just make sure that it you take off your nail, make sure to put a bandaid around it to keep it clean.
