Would you use this app?
-
I was thinking about developing an app on Facebook one day that would allow you to find potential friends. This would NOT be a dating thing (although if it was successful enough I might consider it). Basically how it would work is it would use your location and likes you have on Facebook to find people who correlate the best to you. It would be free and ad-supported, with no premium features to buy. Let's say there is someone who matches you in everything you like on Facebook, but lives a thousand miles away. It would automatically rule that person out. But if there fifty things you and this guy both like and he lives five miles from you, then it would be a suitable match and you'd be able to see this and talk to him via instant message and see if you would like to be actual Facebook friends and eventually real-life friends. It would be a gradual thing, very organic. If you are not a user of Facebook, please do not respond.

Answer:
The idea is really good but no one will actually just want to meet a stranger he meet at facebook for no reason(cause that guy can be acting as an teen but he is an adults who wants to rape you) It should be for only on your friends.

They already give "suggested friends." Also, they don't let us have more than 5,000 friends. Plus, Facebook already sucks, because the people who use Facebook suck. Besides, Facebook would have to decide to take your idea, and I don't know if they would take anyone's idea.

this is an excellent idea! and yes in a facebook user. but i am not for an app that ad supported, ill gladly pay for it if its in the 99 cents to $3 range. but please dont put ads on it. i have a few apps with ad support and they are exceptionally annoying
Sounds groovy.
