How does online-schooling (high school) work?

• I'm going to be a Sophomore soon, and I'm in a band, and were getting big pretty fast, and school might get in the way of tours & other stuff (if/when we get signed). I also have other questions. - How can I sign up? -Is it free? -How does testing work? -Do you need a logical reason to go on it? -How long does it usually last per day? -Is there a specific one for my state(California)? -Can I graduate with an official high school diploma and full credits? -Can I work at my own speed on my own time? -Do I ever have to interact with anyone; online or in person?   I live in california and I did online high school it was pretty easy. The one I did is called Kaplan academy it is free. -the testing was simple you just finish reading and doing homework then at the end of the segment you take the test it is timed though - you dont need an explanation for why you want to do it - the school I went to I had to be online for 7 hours a day it doesn't have to be 7 hours in a row just 7 hours a day - yea every week you will have to do an online chat with your teacher they will schedule a date and time to log in and they are on the web cam and there are other students there the teacher just teaches and asks questions
