How can I survive financially through school?

How can i survive public school?

  • Ok so I'm in 10th grade right now and I've been in private school all my life and now I have to move to public school in the middle of the year. The school is rough there are thugs, gangs, drugs, etc and I've never had to experience any of the stuff in my life. Can someone plz just give me advice on my situation and help me get through this?

    Absolutely. Go to Jesus, read the Gospel, stay far from people who are doing what your heart knows to be wrong. The Gospel has all you will need,and it's quite a short read. A couple hours at most, form my experience. Read it more than once, because the more you read, the more situations it will apply to. "God is love" the Bible says, and no matter what anyone has said, he can't hate. He is murciful anf kind and forgiving, and far more generous than any human. Love!

There really isn't any advice to give, because every person and every situation is different. You're in no different a position than anyone else really, you're just from a slightly different background. Be yourself, be cool, participate, be social, all the usual stuff you do to get by in life. You'll get through it fine.

Just go on with your daily life. Don't get yourself involve with them , that will only make things worse. Jut ignore them and you will be fine ;)

Lol before I had the same question but flipped, I had gone to public school but I was going to a private school :D Here is a thing about public schools: yes,MANY people there are mean and harsh BUT in a public school their is always good people in the school. Believe me most of the kids in my school when I was in maybe 3rd grade acted like 7th graders.... So, just keep on studying, find the good people in the school, be social and DO NOT do anything that might be remembered. Once you do something humiliating they'll bully you for it. Good Luck!

In every school there are good and bad kids. Even at the worst school, not every kid is a gangster who is wigged out on drugs. And honestly, I think you've had your head in the sand if you think no kids at your private school ever did drugs, drank or had sex. You've lived in the area of the school - right? The school is a reflection of your community. Were you afraid to go to the park in your neighborhood? The grocery store? So my advice is: go in warily, but get to know kids before you judge them as being thugs, gangsters and drug addicts. Get to know people and if they aren't to your liking don't hang out with them. Find the kids who aren't. Even in the worst inner city school, there are nice kids to hang out with. Be friendly, not judgmental and you will find people to your liking. If you go in assuming the worst of everyone, you'll find it's a self fulfilling prophesy.
