Where can I study acting?

Can I go to college and study acting then just get straight into acting without having to go to uni?

• OK so I want to do a drama course at college. Im 15 at the moment and in year 11 btw. Right now Im looking at the drama courses in colleges Im thinking of going to. I was just wandering if I go to college do the drama college and then finish will I be able to go to audtions just like that or will I have to go to uni first??? Idk if I want to go to uni cos I just want to get into acting as soon as possible. I really want to be able to play teenage characters at first. I will be 18 when I finish college so I will probs still be able to play teenage charcters. I look young for my age now (Im 15 but people think Im like 12 or 13). What should I do?

  going to a college,university or any specific school is not a prerequisite to be an actor. there are better things you can do with your time than wait 4 years to get through college before you can do anything. take acting classes and do school plays and drama classes. you need to start things now. take classes, when you know how to audition for things, look for community theater and student and ind. film auditions. their open calls and good for experience. when you have some experience and have built up a resume,you can look for agents to get you on commercial acting auditions.
