im am looking to get my start at acting and i need help finding listings of places where auditions are being held in long Island or in New York in general. Someone please help

Only through a good, genuine agent. Casting directors go through agents because they want to avoid getting loads of amateurs turning up asking to be auditions. They don't have time or money to waste on anything, so by going through agents they only get well-trained, very experienced professional actors.
