How are my monologues? Suggestions?

Villainous Monologues From Plays?

  • So, Im auditioning for this performing arts school and you need to use two contrasting monologues. I already have one from You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, where Charlie talks about the worst parts of his day, how he is lonely, and a cute red-headed girl. So, now I need a contrasting monologue, so I was thinking something more like a villain plotting something. Any suggestions?

  • Answer:

Since You're a Good Man Charlie Brown is a comedic, contemporary piece, to be the most contrasting you should select a dramatic classical monologue. You are in luck, there are tons of great villains monologues in classical drama. Look at: Iago from Othello Edgar from King Lear Richard III from Richard III these all have characters who are plotting the downfall of something. Good Luck~
