Casting calls or acting jobs for teen in Chicago?

• Hi I am 14 year old boy and I live in Illinois near Chicago. I am looking for a LEGIT website that i can use to find casting calls for things such as TV and movie work. All the websites I can find are fake and scams. Does anyone know of a LEGIT working website that I can use to find casting calls in my area, OR a website that lists chicago teen casting directors? I am NOT looking for a agent or anything, just a website. Thanks and hope you can help!!!!!!!

  Without an agent you're not going to get any auditions. Virtually all movies, stage plays, TV shows, commercials - everything - casts solely through agents nowadays. It's far more cost-effective and efficient. When they hold open calls they just get untrained and inexperienced people turning up, and obviously they aren't interested in wasting time on them. Even if you found an open casting call, they check resumes at the door, and anyone with no experience and who hasn't had years of training just gets turned away. There are no legit casting websites which would get you anywhere. Almost all are scams. I know you said that you're not looking for an agent, but you should be - after you've had years of training and built up an impressive resume.
