How can I become a young actress/kid actress?

So I am a girl and in the age group of 10-13 and I really want to be and actress and also a singer, but I mostly need to know where to get started for acting. I am already taking an acting class and I am looking for auditions everywhere in the newspaper, on websites for local theatres and more but I cant find any auditions for kids my age mostly for adults. Does this mean I need to ge an agent? I think I would like to get a bit more experience before I get and agent. Is this a good idea? i dont care about getting the money and I would take any job I get and am willing to work for this intill i die and hopefully make it to hollywood one day! I really want this more than anyone else and I know my parents will support me because my brother acts and has been to a couple auditions, but I really want this as a career and I figure I should start now so i can be the best actress I can possibly be! FYI: I live in canada but not near any places like Vancouver or Toronto where they shoot a lot of TV and movies. Thanks so much! BQ: How can I also have a career in singing?

I'm also wondering,asking the same question as you. I look for auditions everywhere, take acting classes and can sing. But DON'T get an agent- just yet. I have tried applying for heaps of various agents and have been rejected each time (not saying that if you do they'll reject you) but the point is agents are looking for EXPERIENCE. Instead of looking for general auditions in the paper and websites type in the net something a bit more specific. I recommend researching a local youth theatre group in your area. There will be one i assure you. After a few months of performing in many plays with heaps more experience, put together a resume and contact an agent! If you have the motivation and support of your parents you can make it!!! Ps. Also talk to your acting teacher, they can really help and even recommend agents!

Youtube. Look at justin bieber and fred. Justin bieber started out on youtube just singing and then he became a huge hit. Fred did random funny videos and got famous, he never thought he'd become famous he just did those for fun. So if you really want to become famous start there. Don't get mad if your not famous right away though it could take a year or two for you to become famous, also im not guaranteeing that that's going to work but there's a possibility I hope everything works out :D!
