How to manage school and an acting career?

• well, I want to start acting and i'm at an adolescent age. I want to know how it is possible to act and still stay in school. I hear acting on a set could take many many hours of the day, making no time for school. I still want an education. how do I act and participate in school so i'm not a dropout. I want to get my GED and once I graduate high school i'll continue acting for a while and then go to college. For instance right now i'm looking for extra casting to start out If there are any calls you can find for extras please respond I definitely want to act on film and commercial not theater I don't want to be home schooled. I need a good education.

  first you need to get training to learn how to go about this. when you work during the school year, you will bring your regular school work to the set with you. the film company has to hire a teacher, so you aren't going to miss any school except for a field trip or something like that. if you graduate high school,you will have a diploma, you won't need a GED.
