What are some very low alto musical theater songs?
-
Nothing from Beauty and the Beast, The King and I, or Chicago. i am auditioning for the King and I and needed some opinions. My range is bigish but i prefer lower songs. and please no overused songs like Rain on my Parade. and even though that is an alto song, i prefer songs even lower. Sorryfor all the requirements.... THanks in advanced!

Answer:
Kander and Ebb wrote many songs for altos, but the one that probably has the lowest range is the title tune from "Kiss of the Spider Woman". It's wonderfully dramatic and more than a bit creepy, too.
