What is a good audition song for Guys and Dolls?

What would be the best song selection to audition for "Guys and Dolls"?

  • Its about 3 weeks before auditions for my high school musical "Guys and Dolls". We are to prepare a musical number. What would be the best musical song (must be from a on stage musical) to use for this play? I don't have a specific voice range and I do not have a specific character I am aiming for. Thank you!

    "Adelaide's lament" from guys and Dolls is always a winner and it is an oppurtunity to show off your ability to analyze a character. If you dont have a great vocal range, "Reflection" from Mulan is ood. A beautiful audition song is "On My Own" from Les Miserables (one of the most famous musicals of all time) break a leg!

Try "Pulled" from "The Addams Family". The vocal range is close to Adelaide, but the lyrics ("I'm being pulled in a new direction/and I think I like it") sound like Sarah. Either way, it's a fun number that will show off your acting abilities.
