What are some good serious plays where I could find a monologue?

I need a good female monologue for my HSC IP and im having trouble and suggestions?

  • i am currently in year 12 and studying drama and i need a monologue for my individual preformance but i can find any good monologues and i am in desprate need of some good ones from plays or anything so it you know any please comment below im and in desprate need thanks =)

    hey im doing drama this year too (: tho i'm doing costume design. the best place to find monologues are in books, look in the library [even skl library] for monologues that are meant for females. everyone in my drama class has been looking for their monologues that way. don't try and find monologues on the internet! my drama teacher said that the majority are crap and it isn't a good place to look. aaaand i guess you could write your own. but my drama teacher said if you write your own monologue then you might as well do script writing instead. good luck!
