How to get an agent without any experience?

How much experience do you need before you try to get an agent?

  • an acting agent..........I know I'm not quite ready...i just wanted to know how far away I am .....i just need a rough estimation of how many classes...and plays ...and short films........im only 14 I have alot of time

    There is no estimation or clear answer. You could be an actor with TONS of acting experience and taken a few acting classes, but when its time to audition for an agent you might not be what they are looking for right now or you might not have done well during the audition. It's a tough question. Even actors who went to professional acting schools still can't agents. It's tough. Then there is the issue of the headshots. Your head shot may not be an accurate representation of what you look like in person. I think at the end of the day your the only person who can say you are ready for an agent. You need to be absolutely positive and confident in your abilities as an actor or actress and need to not show any fear or nervousness.

None. BUT...getting good training is wise. AND...don’t get involved in those scam agencies that ask you for bunches of money. Like Barbizon, etc. They’ll take anyone because they want your money. You want an agent that makes most of their money from the work they help you find. They get a percentage of what YOU earn. Good luck!

there is no set amount of training and experience, but you need enough to know how to work in front of a camera and to be able to give good auditions. a good acting instructor can tell you when your ready to start going on auditions.
