How to write an acting cover letter?

I would suggest using instead of a cover letter, using a short cover NOTE to put on your headshot resume. There really is not a lot you need to say, so if it looks short and sweet, it will more likely be read, and take that way. In your note, you should state your name, what type of representation you are seeking (theatrical/legit, commercial, print, voiceover, etc.), state that you have experience in which fields, if you're union mention that (if non-union, leave it out), why you want to work with that agency, and that you are available to meet with them at their convenience.
