What do acting auditions require?

  Well it depends what type of audition you are going to. Your average audition will ask you to wear your hair normally with normal clothes, bring a head shot, you will be asked to act out a monologue they give you or one that you can choose. If they want you to, you may be placed in a scene with another actor or actress and you may read a dialogue. If you are auditioning for a musical you will have to sing a song they choose or a song of your choice. You also may have to bring your own dance portion or you will be placed in a group to learn a dance that will be performed the same day. Just make sure you are your self and you make yourself unique. So many people will be trying to do the same thing as you so you want to bring something to the table that makes the director or and casting team remember you at the end of the day. Good Luck!!
