How do you know if a website is a scam?

Does anyone know any talent or agency website that's not a scam ?

    Websites alone do not guarantee acting jobs. They only serve as listings for which you can mail your pictures and headshots to casting directors who have listed projects and what they are looking for. It is entirely up to them as to whether they pull you in for a read or ignore your submission entirely. www.actorsaccess.com www.backstage.com www.lacasting.com www.castingfrontier.com These are some websites that list projects. If you do not live in the given city of a project, do not waste your time submitting.

Almost all website-based agents are either not genuine or next to useless. The only way to get a good agent is to have had a good training, ideally a three-year full-time course at a major drama school, and then built up an impressive resume full of stage plays of every genre, short films, student films, etc. Without that, no genuine agent is going to be interested. They only make money when their clients are big-earners, so there would be no point taking on beginners.

You just sign up, and they send you emails for casting calls that match you, for free. Then, if you want to apply for a job, you need to pay for a subscription, but that's only a few dollars a month. God, I sound like I'm selling something... my bad... maybe I should apply for adverts... hahaha Good luck!
