Know of any acting agencies close to where i live?

  • i am an aspiring actress and i have been in many plays at school and i can do a list of accents i want to showcase my acting skills and hopefully make it out into the big leagues someday. i live in reading,Pa and there is not many opportunities around here but i want to find an acting agency near me

    The thing is, the agencies are all located near the big theatres, TV and movie studios, etc. They need to be close to them to get all the good contacts. And the agencies require all their clients to live close by their offices. Many auditions only give you an hour or two's notice to get there - so you have to be really close by. But really, you're not ready to get an agent yet. School stuff is a good start, but you'd need to have attended a good independent acting class or drama school for several years, and have loads of experience before any good agent would be interested. Being good at accents is great, but just one of hundreds of skills you'd need to have learned.

Okay, are you me or something? Becuz, you are like me, an aspiring actress lol. I also write too and I know you cuz i got the best answer for your other q. Anyways, I live in Canada, I'm 13 and I have an agency. My agency is the Geoffrey Chapman, I don't know where you live so.... yea sorry. If you live in Canada then you can go there. If not, idk... I'm not American or wherever your from. Hope I helped :)

where i dont know where you live or agents around

you will need to get to NYC to find an agent that can help you. there isn't any professional acting work cast in PA.
