  • I want to be a star but I don't want to pay money for an agent, so how do I find auditions.(websites are good too)

  • Answer:

it takes years to become an actor let alone a star. You need to learn more about what professional acting is like (it is nothing like what you see at the awards ceremonies on on screen. Fist you have to be a actor.... read my blog at htto://www.theatredoconacting.blogspot.c… Read alll three hundred entries and then read some of the books I recommend. Information is your best asset.

If you want to be an actor, fine. Take classes at a good acting school for a few years, get lots of experience, be prepared for a lot of very hard work with almost no pay and no glamour whatsoever. If you only want to be a 'star' - forget it. You need an agent to find genuine auditions, but you don't actually pay an agent at all. They take a percentage of your earnings from acting work which they found for you. That's why agents only ever accept very well-trained and very experienced actors - never beginners.

you can find open calls in one of the acting trade magazines or on line. most professional auditions are not open calls. you need an agent to get you on them. auditions aren't every where, you also need to be in the right place. agents don't get paid unless you work.
