Acting Question?

Question about film acting, acting agents, hollywood movies, that kind of thing?

• So I am an actress. I know, like EVERYONE now wants to be an actress. But I have been acting for over 10 years (I am a 14 year old girl, almost 15). I have been doing local plays, school plays, theater classes, professional acting classes, etc, as I wait to get my braces off. Anyway, I get my braces off tomorrow, which is when I will be sending my resume and head shots to local acting agents. I live in Denver, Colorado. I have done lots of stage work but am mostly interested in doing film. I was just wondering if I have an agent in Denver Colorado, will I have the opportunity to audition or be submitted for movies or Tv shows? (Not like short films or local independent movies, but real blockbusters and stuff?) No rude answers, please. Thanks!

  Well, it's lovely to hear from someone who understands that it takes years of hard work to become an actor! Well done! As for your question - it depends on which agent will accept you. The best agents get auditions from major film production companies, but I understand that most of these are based in LA or New York. However, there are exceptions, and remember that you have to start off somewhere. You may well have to start with small roles in low-budget movies, and hopefully work up to bigger and better. It isn't going to happen overnight, but it's certainly not impossible. And if you get seen in a small movie, someone with influence might see you and audition you for something bigger. Don't hope for too much too soon. Be patient. But with all the effort you've put in, you have as much chance as anyone, if not more. Good luck!
