How do I find auditions for tv comercials?

  • I would love to know how to find auditions for tv comercials, movies, or tv shows, somthing along those lines, I am wondering what all I would have to do to do any one of those and be able to find them. I've always wanted to do that type of work. thanks for looking :)

    So many people always say you need to have taken a lot of acting classes, I don't believe that. I think you should have done at least 2 plays and the easiest way to get auditions and go to open calls is tell your parents this is your dream, write a mini actors resume and take a nice professional head shot of yourself. Just send the resume and headshot to many agents till one chooses you and wants to see you. Your parents needd to go along, and an agent doesn't get paid before auditions. They get paid after you get the job and its only 10 percent . That's the easiest way I believe, don't give up !! Note : if you want to act you must be able too. And if a agent asks you to pay them ahead of time its a scam , and so are more websites ! Example ; kristen stewart from twilight was doing one play and an agent just wanted her, she's so quiet and shy but look at wheree she iis now .

All genuine auditions are only to be found through a good agent. And to get an agent you'd have to have had several years of drama training and a lot of experience in stage plays, short films, student films, etc. No genuine agent would take on a beginner. A typical agency would have one or two vacancies a month. They get maybe 300 applications a month. So they will choose the one or two of those who look different from their existing clients and who have the best training and the best experience.

first you need to get training and experience and be in the right place. agents and auditions aren't everywhere. if you want commercials, you need a commercial agent. if you want tv or movie auditions you need a theatrical agent. if your a minor, a parent will need to do this with you and get an agent for you when your ready for one.

For any type of acting job you find an agent. I don't even think you're allowed to act in movies etc without an agent. You pay them a certain percent of your total pay (something like 10 percent or so) and they find you auditions and do all the real work for you. Then you just crack your knuckles and do it!
