When and how should i start acting?

How can I start acting? I'm new in it?

  • I'm 17 years old guy and I know it would be the best if I'd have started acting 10 years ago. But anyway, I've wanted to act like for 5 years and I never could start taking acting classes in my country, coz my country... sucks! Yeah!. And I have no idea if I get in LA how I should start everything. Are there any acting classes for adult beginners or something like that? Because, you know, you have to have the basics and -clearly- start everything from new. And one thing. I was a very strange child and everybody thought I had autism coz I wouldn't express my emotions right (almost never) and when I told my family I wanted to start acting they were like "hahaha you? yeah sure... " (hmm, not only the family. Almost everyone except for a few people) and that caused a very big stress on myself. But I really do know that I love acting and mostly the process of making a movie. I watch them all of the time. preparing the script getting dressed, cameras watching..... So I meant to say that I really need to practice the basics, because I've noticed on myself that I've changed, and I express better emotions (in the mirror) lol. :))) I'm not weird or anything.... Oh and, no, I don't have autism. Thank god.

  • Answer:

Stand before a mirror that shows you from head to foot. Look at your image and tell it what all you have in mind. Try saying it differently every time. All the while keeping your eye in your image. As days pass on you will say what you want to say with proper feeling and expression. Once this happens there is take off! You have become an actor! Enjoy!

Start by trying out for school plays. If your out of school, in LA they have to have summer camps that put on plays. I did one over the summer. I didn't get a huge part, but it really improved my acting. Also, you can look for cheap beginning acting classes. Good Luck!!!!

You don't need to be in LA. Go to a local theatre and audition and take classes there then after building a good resume I would say do whatever you feel is right.

Find a talent agent. Get into theater of anything you can find that's good to put on your resume Keep your head up no matter how many times you get rejected(:
