How do I get an acting and modeling agent?

I want to get into acting or modeling...?

• How different are acting and modeling? Where can I get started? Should I look for an agent first or can I find work on my own? What are the cons? I have been using Exploretalent.com to get started...and I have gotten a few hair modeling jobs, but I want to do more. Are the hair shows good experience? Also I want to do playboy...do I have to have modeling experience for that? Will it hurt my acting or modeling career in the future? Thank you to everybody who answers.

  Playboy will kill any chance of becoming a legitimate actress. You will be limited to bimbo roles where you will be in a swimsuit like Pamela Anderson. But you can make good money in those bimbo roles as well if that's what you want Acting and modeling are very different - very few people are able to transition from modeling to acting - just look at the acting careers of top models like Gisele or Cindy Crawford, both were complete flops. And Gemma Ward pretty much gave up modeling 2 years ago at the top of her game to try and become an actress, but hasn't had any success. So you need to decide what you really want - actress, fashion model or Playboy - then focus on just one of them
