How can I get into acting?

• Okay. I'm 18, and a college student in Ohio. I major in art, and I'm a freshman. I will be moving to Columbus next year, and I have always had an interest in acting. The kind of acting I have always wanted to do is either TV, or perhaps movies. The thing is, I haven't done much acting, besides some high school plays. However I love acting, and have always wanted to do it. I still have one more quarter left in my school year before I transfer, so I was hoping someone could give me some tips or help to get me into acting. Be as detailed and helpful as you can be, as I am serious about getting into acting.

  Have you thought about drama school? I don't know many in U.S. but I went to New York Film Academy to study acting for film and it was wonderful. Although, if you wanna be a really good actor I suggest you start with a theater background, you mention you want TV and movies, but trust me, a good theater actor can be good at doing TV and movies, but not the contrary.
