How do i become an anime voice actor?

  • I've recently gotten into doing a lot of "mimicing" voices off of anime shows that i like, and i was reading online that if you have a passion for it that you should try and become a voice actor. What is required to be a voice actor? is there an age limit? I know your supposed to live in a city that they do the animation dubs in, and i don't live near one at all. Does anyone know what i could do to become a voice actor? and I am in Highschool right now (Freshman) and im a girl.

    You can try show off your Voice Acting on the internet. Such as Youtube. Upload your voice acting and you can have feedback and improvement suggestions. Voice actors can be very young people too. For example, the voice actor of Ponyo in the anime movie Ponyo. The girl is only around 8-9 years old and she does a superb job. If you do get popular on youtube, youtube animators might start to take interest in you. So this is where your Anime Voice Acting career starts.
