Advice for 13 year old wishing to act maybe model, in the south east (USA)?

Get a good portfolio and an agent if you want to model. Make sure you take your parents with you for photo shoots/interviews. Never pay to audition, and never do anything you aren't comfortable with. Bear in mind you are 13 and should probably concentrate on school atm, but it's a good thing to aspire to, and if you work hard, you should achieve. I don't know any reputable US modelling agencies as I live in the UK, so I suggest you do a web search of agencies in your area, get yourself some good headshots and a Cv (or Resume) and get out there. Much to short to model. I'm assuming you are a girl and you are almost done or already done growing. I'm 5'8" and I sometimes get denied for being too short. But you can do a bit of small, local, print jobs. Anyway for the acting, you can email me if you want some info on getting started. It's a lot to get into.

Don't listen to the last person!! >:( I'm 13 too! And you are NOT too short to model! I'm only 5'1" (I'm not a model, but...) You can be a print model no matter how short you are! As for acting, you need a little bit of training or experience before anything else :( Then just google "agencies in [your state here]" Think a little about what agency suits you best While you're thinking, put together a headshot & resume! not to worry, but you can;t possibly afford to cover all that territory. NO websites. They will scam you for sure. Your parents have to guide your career, see to your experience and your training and your networking and your agent or you are not going to do anything.
