How do go about becoming an actor?

To become an actor/actress you need at least some experience to begin. You need to have done a couple of plays, drama classes and any other classes that could help like chorus, band, etc. Then you are going to need to start a resume which is info. about you along with things you've done with acting. ( Search on google " example of a beginner actor's resume " ). You are going to have to take a professional head shot which is from your shoulders and up of yourself, those can be $30 and up, PRICEY ! After having your resume done, you need to send it to agents in the mail and if they like your resume they will call you and organize a meeting to see you, then if they choose you to be their client they would help you find many auditions till someone chooses you and they you pay them 10% of what you'll get paid. ( NOTE : if an agent asks you to pay them ahead of time, its a scam ! And so are websites ! ) GOOD LUCK !

well, you need to be 110% committed as it is very tough to break into but i'm sure you have heard that! -if your in high school do drama to pick up any techniques to make you better and even more creative with your acting! - be confident and start to look for minor roles and even have a look at your local theatre after all you do have to start somewhere! - take a look at courses! (there are plenty of courses at uni that do not need any background qualifications ) - even try and sign up for an agency! -its good to have more than acting try singing or dancing i really hope this helped and good luck with your acting career !!!

The first thing you want to do is look in your telephone directories in the business section (we have Yellow Pages here but I don't know what you've got). You want to look up the following: Television (Programme) Producers, Motion Picture Producers and Modeling and Talent Agencies. You may also want to ask your school administration if they have any information about after-school youth acting classes. Get involved with things at that level, and then you can go as far as you want. NOTE: When dealing with talent agents, make sure you get parental/legal counsel (or both) before signing, because some companies WILL try to take advantage of young hopeful actors. Most of them are reputable though.

Hi :) i love 2 act, sing, and dance. But here's the thing, you really have 2 be committed, its not the easiest thing to get work. In most circumstances you have to have had experience, and some type of training. Like you can do community theatre and take drama, acting, and improv classes. If ur a student, you can try 2 go 2 local performing arts in your area and join the drama club. You can go on your area's craigslist and go to gigs and then go to talent. Then you can find some work there. You can look through your newspaper and see what they have in there, and u can just work your way up. You're not going to start off as a big shot famous actor, but i promise you you can get there with GOD, hard work, dedication, and a strong love for what you do. always remember nothing is impossible with GOD by ur side. may GOD bless you and im sure you'll do great in what you do.
