What is a good advice column site?

What do you think of these Dear Abby advice column letters about parents?

• After reading what I thought was bad advice in a newspaper column, I remembered these letters, which I thought contained some of the worst advice I have ever seen in a column. Even though they are old, I still remembered them because I thought the answers given were so terrible. http://www.uexpress.com/dearabby/?uc_full_date=20050606 (the first letter) By following this advice, it just seems to be asking for trouble. The mother has repeatedly shown that she cannot be trusted to attend events for her children. Just because she gave birth to the girl does not make her a good person or someone who should be involved in her child's life. I think it would be better to give the graduation ticket to someone who actually supported the girl and deserved it. http://www.uexpress.com/printable/print.html?uc_full_date=20070426&uc_comic=da (third letter) I think this one is even worse than the other one. She gives away the kid's email address, and also assumes that the kid is a hellion based on the email address. People, especially kids, choose names like this all the time, it does not necessarily mean anything about their personality. Also the advice to just live with the parent who will provide the most supervision is not very well thought out. What if one parent sets rules but is fair and reasonable about them while the other is overbearing and is a parent on a power trip? Even though the second parent would be providing more supervision, I would not consider them to be a good choice. Just because a parent gives a lot of supervision does not mean they are a good parent. I do not think she helped the kid at all. What do you think of the letters? Can you think of other letters from advice columnists that have given extremely bad advice?

  These letters are no different to advice given on websites like this one. Its a person personal opinion, and its up to the person asking the question or wanting an answer to decipher which if any makes sense or rational to them! no ones perfect, in hindsight im sure the people who wrote those letters as advice or even people here would change it a million times if they thought about it long enough. but being human we say and do what we thought was right at the time! cheers
