Credit card question.

Question about credit card renewal?

• My parents are getting up there in age and my brother has all but taken over there finances. I actually have access online to their accounts, the brother doesn't know this. so I keep my Dad informed of charges being put on them. Now my parents have excellent credit and they pay the balance every month no matter how much it is, but the other day, I noticed that all activity stopped on one of the credit cards because it had expired, my Dad told me that my brother told him that it had expired so the brother is now using the Discover card instead. Now the account is still active and there is a $12,000,00 available credit limit on the card, it has been my experience that when one of my cards expire, I am sent another one prior to the expiration date. The card in question is a Chase card and I was wondering if Chase also sends cards out automatically(they have had these cards for years) Because I am starting to think that the cards were sent out and he has them. My Mother who used to take care of all financial business in the house had a stroke last years and can't do it any more and my Dad never took care of of any of it in 60yrs of marriage, so my brother has his mitts in everything. Dad is 81yrs old and my brother pays the bills for them and knows Dad won't be checking around in the accounts. I honestly believe what my brother is doing is keeping the cards for himself and by telling Mom and Dad they have expired and nobody else will be the wiser that there is a credit card with a 12,000.00 line of credit out there because like I said, he takes care of the paying the bills. He will of course pay the card when he uses it, and the credit card company will just assume the original owners are using them, but I think it is a pretty low down stunt to be pulling. Just a little idea of what he is capable of...he moved into their beautiful country home with them about 6 months ago to "help take care of them." he put them in an assisted living facility about 2 weeks ago...they both take care of themselves but need someone just to be around meals and in case they need help since they can't drive anymore. They have a 4 bedroom beautiful home less than 10 miles from where he put them, and they live in 2 a room apartment that cost them $3500.00 a month. My Dad HATES IT WITH A PASSION. My Dad called me Sunday and ask me to come over...now like I said, they can still get around and take care of themselves... They now live back in their beautiful country home and my brother already had started packing their stuff away. I moved him out of their bedroom and he's so mad he can't stand it. I live about 40 mi from them but I go stay with them 3 or 4 days a week plus, my daughter and family live next door, and even if I have to bring in some home health care at times, it won't cost 3500.00 a month, plus all their therapy is done at their home, they have great insurance. So all you siblings that will be inheriting when their parents pass remember these word "POWER CORRUPTS" the above is what happened when my brother was given too much power. He still has too much, but he will not ship our parents to a home because they are a bit too inconvenient for him...I've seen to that. Sorry this was so long and got off the subject of my original credit card question, but venting even on paper is helpful. So if my parents being back in their home where they deserve to be and also belong is going to make somebody unhappy, I choose my brother be the unhappy one!!!

  If you think he will use for himself call Chase and cancel the card or ask them to resend a new card and you keep it safe xx
