How good is the BT-4 paintball marker?

Can I use trannsmission fluid on the bolt of my Dye Pmr 07 Paintball marker? NEED HELP FAST PLEASE!!?

  • I have a 2007 Dye Proto MAtrix Rail paintball marker and I dont have any lube. The closest pro shop is 2 hours away and I am going paintballing tomorrow, and I need some kind of lube. Would it be okay to use Transmission fluid for my paintball marker's bolt? Help FAST!

  • Answer:

WD40 has always worked for me. Almost everyone has some, but after playing at the end of the day wash out the wd40 from your gun. THIS CAN ERODE YOUR O-RINGS. If not then use dish soap, MAKE SURE YOU USE A SQUEEGEE OR A SNAKE TO CLEAN OUT THE INSIDE OF THE GUN AND clean it thoroughly with water. If you have car oil that works great. Petroleum is a great lubricant but I don't recommend Vaseline. I don't know how transmission fluid would work on a gun. But it might not turn out well

NO. PMR does not use oil or fluids of any kind. They use grease. Dow 33 to be exact, or any similar grease. Fluids are gonna cause all sorts of leaks. Find a bicycle shop nearby, they may have a grease called Slick Honey. It's used on bicycle parts but works well on certain paintball guns as well.

Go to the paintball field you are use to play! They have to lubricate their own guns and can help you with your need. Don't do crazy stuff that will only damage your equipment. Use the internet if you are far from a vendor. Here's a recommendation of an inexpensive place where you can buy your maintenance needs! Enjoy your paintball day!
