Best Dirt Bike for Beginner Adult?
-
Im 6'3" 235lbs, and looking to buy a street legal dual purpose dirt bike. I want something I can ride to school/work but also do some light trail riding with. Being a beginner, I don't want something too powerful right off the bat, but given my size, I don't want something too small for me either. A few guys I've talked to say I'm too big for a 250cc, and should look at a 400cc, but they are amateur enduro racers and seem to expect everyone to be able to handle such a powerful bike. Is a 250 too small? Is a 400 a good size for someone my size, even as a beginner? Thanks

Answer:
If you've ridden a dirt bike or motorcycle before you'd be fine with a 450, as you would not need that much power at first. You will quickly advance to more power, and not need to upgrade.
