Which out of these 3 paintball markers is the best?
-
Now I have 3 contestants on which one I want to buy. Forget all of the price and stuff like that. I'm looking for a more of a woodsball, urban scenario, all of the other types of paintball type games except speedball. I'll play speedball the least out of the others. SO here they are, The Invert Mini, The Empire axe limited edition, or the Dangerous Power. I like the mini A LOT. But would it be good for woodsball still, is it accurate, and can you rapid fire it (walking the trigger) easily?

Answer:
First, the Invert Mini and the Empire Axe are virtually the same. I know a number of guys that have one or the other and they are nice and light. This is the perfect girlfriend/wife marker because it is so light. The same holds true for smaller kids who might be ready for a good marker but might not want the weight of a heavier one. By the way, all I play is woodsball and I ref a few times a year. That means I get to see just about everything in the woods. Basically, any marker can be used for woodsball. The problem shows up when you try to use a woodsball mil-sim type marker for speedball. Tippmann has/had a speedball team that used the 98 and A5 markers but that really just proved that you can put almost any marker in a good player's hands and they'll do good with it. As far as your other concerns, the mini and the axe are electronic so easy trigger and the accuracy is as good as any marker will get with good paint and a good barrel. Your biggest concern will be battery life. Don't forget you need a hopper that can feed at least 15bps so invest in a good electronic hopper. Shadow Wolf

Hello, Out of those 3, ill recommend you the axe, I've been using it for close to 4 months already and I totally love it. Get an APEX2 with it and your ready for any woodsball or speedball match. I've had g4s and Spec Rs from DP and I've used the Mini, the guns from DP are not bad but they could be better. By far the Axe is the best option, light accurate, efficient.. The board comes with all the modes you need out of the box. Semi, NXL full auto, PSP3, and Millenium. If you need anything else shoot me an email ill be glad to answer all your questions taxarod@yahoo.com Hope I've helped you.

DP makes awesome markers... That said.. My sons and I have been running Axes for the better part of six months and have zero complaints. Are there better markers? Sure.. but at the price point, the Axe is an excellent woodsball gun.. No external lines to get caught up in the wood pile.. It's quiet, dependable, and durable.. You might want to get a nano feed neck to reduce the chance of snapping off the feed neck, but thats not limited to the Axe. I love the quick release bolt, the on/off asa.. I have other markers that I've paid twice as much for, and I didn't get twice the marker for that price.. Shop around. there are great used markers out there for next to nothing.. Also want to comment on service. Empire stands behind their products.. I haven't paid a cent for a repair yet.

You didn't mention which Dangerous Power marker you're considering. They make 4 different ones right now. Although the FX would probably fit the best in this comparison. Or i recommend that's what you include in this comparison. But since you didn't specify, i'm only covering the Mini & Axe. Mini and Axe are dang near identical, with 3 main differences - Axe is a little longer (to accomodate bigger hands/arms), Axe comes with an on/off asa (most impressive since the asa is also the regulator on both markers), and the Axe has a quick-release back cap to service the bolt assembly. I'd say that on/off asa reg is what really cinches the deal, but you could get a Mini and that asa (called the Empire Relay) separately for less than an Axe. The stock barrel on both markers is actually pretty decent. I liked using the stock barrel on my Minis, especially since the barrel's aesthetic design flowed well with the body. Walking the trigger is super easy, since the unique "hall sensor" activation on the Mini & Axe eliminate any tension from a traditional microswitch that most other electronic markers have. Since you already like the Mini, just go with that. Keep that Empire Relay asa in mind, though, i think you'd appreciate having it. Any marker works fine for woodsball, since nothing prevents them from NOT working fine for woodsball. Only issues is using a woodsball-specific gun in speedball, since many of them are too bulky for the job.
