Is firing an AEG airsoft gun legal in Dallas?

I was told that you can't fire compressed air airsoft guns. Like co2. Would an AEG count or not. Because I also was told spring airsoft is allowed within city limits. Is it legal to fire it in city limits?

Answer:
According to Texas law you must be outside city limits, but then you'll be playing on an outdoor field which is probably the only place to go. The only reason you'd have to use an AEG in a city should be if it's in your back yard or at a CQB arena.But outdoor public fields are still fun.
