How to deer and turkey hunt?

okai so i just bought a mosin nagant m91/30 and i also have a 10 gauge shotgun.but since i have never gone hunting before i don't know what to do like for example i dont evan know where to go or nothing like that? i'ved been reading on deer hunting and turkey hunting but most of them talk bout setting up a tree stand or a ground blind but i dont have neither a tree stand neither a ground blind so can i just hunt from the ground for deer or turkey? can someone please help me? i live in high point north carolina and the deer season is over but we got a archery turkey season coming up meaning i can use my 10 gauge shotgun but i cannot use my rifle only my shotgun. so can someone please help me because i have no idea on what to do? and what i need right now i only have my rifle and my 10 gauge shotgun and of course my camo clothes and my hunting licence. in this so called gamelands is there an office to register at for they can know i'm hunting or you know somewhere to park my car at? what are the most simplest things i need to turkey hunt nothing over the top like the main things that i really really need to turkey hunt ?

archery is bow and arrow, not shotgun see if the dear and turkey expo comes to your area, lots a good stuff at that also try to find some one in your area, ask local hunting shops, that can take you your first few times
