What's your favorite soccer position and why?

Why do so many soccer players die on the on the field? It's been 8 players since 2010, whats up?

  • I've played soccer all my life and its part of the game to hustle and keep running even if your heart feels like its popping out of your jersey. 8 players have died form heart attacks since 2010 and I was watching a Premiership match this morning when another player collapsed. Who knows how many players this happens to that aren't pros athletes. Why doesn't this happen in other sports? Is it that soccer players induce their heart attacks by increasing their heart pulse per second to an extreme level? I feel this is something that needs to be researched. Soccer communities often address the situation but ignore the problem.

    As you very well may know in soccer you basically run the whole game except when half time comes and thats when you really take a break. If you have ever played on a school soccer team one of the requirements Is that you have to get a check up at the doctor to see if you have any heart problems etc. I hope this has helped you and next time you have a soccer game I wish you luck warrior :D

Soccer is an exhausting sport. It can have various implications on your cardio. Unlike soccer, most of the other sports ( like NFL, NBA, cricket etc) doesn't require so much running. Other sports have no special concerns for your heartbeat rate. But soccer does. This can be a reason. I think soccer should also have 4 quarters (like so many american games) instead of 2 halfs.
