How would you compare football NOW versus Then?

How does the mls compare to Scotland and other leagues in football/soccer?

  • I was watching redbulls(NY) vs fc Dallas and was wondering were the MLS ranks compared to other top leagues of football I know that the MLS does not compete with the leagues of England,Germany,France,Italy,Spain, or even Greece or Mexico. Comparing to any one of those league is foolish But compared to the top leagues in japan,Australia,Scotland, or Ireland who is better? Basically what league is most equal to the MLS in terms of how good it is? I was wondering because I've heard it as good as the football league( you know the second best league of football in England) or the j-league ( best league in japan) Sure I know soccer has been in America for a long time ( the America football association for example,but the a a was only around for a short time) but will the MLS ever be at the same level as the Mexican or Greek league?

    probably fairly similar to the SPL (scotland) and the A-League (australia)

Look at how Seattle kept Santos on the first leg of the CCL. MLS teams are no joke now as the league is gaining momentum. IMHO some MLS teams can actually compete in the Championship League of England and pretty much all the second division teams in Europe. I remember going to see the Houston Dynamo play Pachuca the last few years and those were some tough games where the Dynamo would prevail at home here in Houston

The mls is on a par with the Mexican league in my opinion. The Scottish league is abit better though because teams like rangers, Celtic, hearts, motherwell etc could probably best most mls teams
