Should I start playing (English) football again?
-
I've been playing football (soccer to any americans here) since I was little about 5 or 6 and when I moved to Liverpool I was scouted to trial for Everton ladies and got into the academy where I played from the ages of about 11 to 14/15 but by the time I was 14 i was getting a lot of injuries such as recurring groin strain, I had Chondromalacia patella in my knees and I was also developing chronic migraine so I stopped playing football at about 15. I'm 16 now and its been ages since I've kicked a ball and I really miss it so I sort of want to play again, but I'm worried that I'm not good enough anymore. (In case you're wondering the injuries have healed and the migraines are improving but exercise helps-another reason to start again) There is a team that I could start training with and play for as I did it for a brief period after I stopped playing football and they started me every game. I just feel like I'm really missing it and I've even started dreaming about playing again! Just wondering if you could give me any advice? Many thanks for anything you have to say! :)

Answer:
I was interested in joining a training academy but unfortunately due to the financial conditions my plan could not succeed at that time. The training academies kind of help you to get a job at the end, they have become a need for this generation. I have a decision to make, whether to join a financial training academy or a music training academy as i am good at both.

You don't have to play at a top level just because you are good or because you can. It's a great sport. Play at a lesser level. You will enjoy it more and for a far longer time, Manage a youth side or ref if the demands are too high and you need to pull back. Whatever you do , In the sport is better then out of the sport for sure!! Enjoy

Take a friend out and play with her/him. practice some, and if you not as good as you were so what? soccer isnt for taking only the best, even the best have to practice, i love soccer and i tore a rotater cuff on both shoulders so i wasnt able to play for 2 years, but i tried and i practiced A LOT before try outs and i made it. you have to give it a try, and if you dont want to you wont know what you could accomplish.
