• hi. i am a third year university student looking to spend the summer in europe, preferably france or spain, for the purposes of learning a new language. are there any good summer language exchange programs or summer language courses at any universities? and are there any good cities that would be fun to study in? any insight is greatly appreciated thanks!

  I spent the fall semester of my junior year in Cannes, France. I have to say, it was the best time of my life. Cannes is a beautiful city, and we were going to the beach almost every day until november! Paris would also be amazing to study in. I went through AIFS abroad (http://aifsabroad.com). They'll put you in an intensive language study, usually about 3 hours a day, so you'll learn fast. I recommend you start the application process as soon as possible, so you are sure to get the money as well as your passport and visa. 2 other companies I know of are CEA abroad and GSE, and I believe there is also a special language school in Nice, France, but I don't know much about it.
