Can I apply to a US medical school if I have a Canadian degree?
-
I live in the US now, and I'm thinking about McGill University in Quebec for my undergraduate degree. Afterwards, I want to go to medical school. How does having a degree from a Canadian university affect my chances at a US medical school?
-
Answer:
Generally speaking, having a Canadian degree does not put you at a disadvantage. As long as you meet the requirements for admission to medical school (including being a college graduate), your candidacy is as competitive as anyone else's. If McGill has a pre-med program, you should take it.
