What are good study techniques for these subjects?
-
Exams are this week, and I need to study but I need some good study techniques for these subjects: 1. Spanish (Vocab and grammer) 2. Health (Mainly definitions, but also procedures) 3. English (Vocab, Mythological words, stories) 4. History (Dates, events, important people...) I've already started flashcards for Spanish, but if you could give me any other studying techniques that would be awesome. Thanks!

Answer:
For history and health look at your criteria or rubrics and make notes for it, read over the notes again and again until it is stuck in your head. For spanish use flash cards and the notes technique. For english read over your note book and text book and try to really learn the techniques because that is the most important thing in english

well i get some pretty good grades and i dont have any top secret ways to study and i know i am NOT smarter than the average bear. but here u go But generally what makes me different from others is that I know when I am ready whereas most people do not know when they are ready. The first thing is know what is coming on the test Now the five steps are 1)Read 2)Summarize 3)Study 4)Revise 5)Question 6) And timed overall testing This can be use for all of them since they are humanities courses 1- Reading means actually reading all the material, you should have already done that already so that should be easy if not then maybe rely on class notes and lectures. Reading over the entire text is not such a good idea but if you really dont know the stuff that well then just pick the parts u think she/he stressed in class and reread them. 2) Summarize-- thars where highlighting and making notes comes in. Make sure u understand all the key details before moving on to anything. 3) Studying - I think the most important thing is CATEGORIZE EVERYTHING BY TOPIC. NO HAPHAZARD STUDYING PLZ. Write down all the stuff you know about all the topics on 1-3 papers Icant stress this enough I think this is really what makes the difference for me. When u have done this u can see exactly how much u are asking your brain to remember. You will need to memorize some stuff word for word, and you will need to make mnemonics for others. Now that u have your memory sheet you write down a number of all the details you need to remember under topic. so for ex. Spanish. You may have 3 points about irregular Ir verbs and when they are used. So then after that you will have a second sheet that lists all the topics with the number beside it that tells you exactly how many things you need to remember. 4. Now revising thats when you put away all the books and you just have the two sheets, the study sheet and the number sheet. You look at number sheet only and try to remember all the the points u have numbered. Then lets say u only rememberer 4 out of the 5 things then you go back and see what u forgot on the study sheet. Simple Right! Then u keep doing this until you dont miss anything from any of the topics. 5. Now its time to do the questions- You can find those all over the text book or online (although i would just stick to the questions your teacher gave u) Do these questions and check the answers to make sure u get them right. 6) Finally the overall timed testing, well it doesnt have to be timed just cumulative of all the stuff. This where you get all the past papers and do them. AND THATS IT! when u can have dialogue with yourself about everything on the study sheet and you get most of the questions right then YOU KNOW YOU ARE! If you ollow this technique CONSISTENTLY then your academic career should be much easier i guarantee. Remember do not procrastinate, procrastination kills dreams.
