Where in Italy do you usually go on exchange?

Where should I go on a exchange and why should I go there?

• My parents are letting me go on a one year exchange, the only problem is we can't decide on where I should go. Some places they are NOT allowing me to go (for some personal and safety reasons) -The middle east (just any where there) -Europe (not sure why...) -Asia (nothing here interests me) -South America - Canada & America (well I live in Canada and America is pretty much the same) -any place that just isn't safe My mom says I should just go to somewhere in America (for like 2-3 months) first so I can like practice being away from home and not get so home sick. So what does anyone recommend? Something that doesn't require to really learn a new language. So make sure you include why I should go there.
