What are some exchange programs to the UK?

I would like to go to school in Canada or the UK next year.. any exchange student programs?

• I live in the US, in Esatern Washington. I'm a sophomore this year.. but for my junior year I would reallyreally like to do an exchange student program, but I don't want to have to try and learn another language by then.. it would just be too stressful right now. (but i am learning languages someday xD) anyways I would like to go to canada mostly, but the uk would be pretty cool too. and i would have to live with someone else, my family wouldn't go with, and i don't have family there. so i'd have to board with someone.. yehhh i need any/all information i can get on this.. i really really want to do this thanks!! :D

  Different school boards offer different things. I think exchange programs are less common at the high school level, but with a bit of searching I'm sure you can find some. Here's the first one that pops up in google: http://www.englishabroad.us/frequent_questions.html You need to be in your third year of high school for that one, though. Doing an exchange program isn't cheap, but from what I hear it's usually a great experience. We had some German exchange students at my (Canadian) high school last year and it was pretty fun ^^ You might also want to talk to a guidance counsellor at your school--they'll be far more acquainted with more local exchange opportunities.
