Master degree after BE in ECE?

Thoughts about getting my master's degree in Australia? (I'm an American)?

• I don't plan on moving to Australia after college... though I did study abroad there during one semester of my undergraduate degree and I absolutely loved it. I plan on pursuing my career in America however will it be more/less beneficial to me that I will have received a master's degree in Australia or will American employers look down at that and think I would have been better off getting my master's degree in America. also... my undergraduate degree was in accounting/finance and I'm looking to get my master's degree in finance

  Australian Master's degrees are highly valued across the world, including the USA. This is demonstrated by the many students from the USA and elsewhere who come to Australia to study for undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. Why not speak to international student admissions at a university in Australia where you are planning to study for your Master's and ask them how other US graduates have fared. They might also be able to put you in touch with recent graduates so that you can see for yourself how you will go with a Master's from Australia. There are also numerous Australian graduates who have gone to the USA with their Australian Master's degree to pursue PhD's and research. Hope this helps. P.S. If an American employer looks down on your Master's degree from Australia, it is probably an employer you do not want to work for anyway because they are plainly ignorant and narrow minded. They are probably the same one's who would not be able to find Australia on a map.
