What is a great college in the South USA?

What should I do before going to college (I come from Europe and I want to go to USA)?

Hey everybody! I live in Italy and I would like to go in the States and study in a college. Now I am 15 (I will turn 16 in August) and here in Italy we graduate from high school at 19 (actually..I will graduate at 20 because I didn't pass last year so I'm repeating the first year of high school ... and we have to do five years!) What I am asking is ... do I have to do high school in USA before attending a college? Or can I just go there when I am 18 and apply for college?? My father is American and soon I will get his surname and become and American citizen so don't worry about this fact... One time I heard that in this case I have to do the 11th and 12th grades of high school before going to college .. is this right? Thanks in advance :)

You will need your HS diploma and take the SAT www.collegeboard.org before you can apply to any US college/university I would contact the admissions office at any US school you want to apply to and make sure you get the facts on applying as an US citizen/ international student. Your grades in HS and your score on the SAT will figure into your application.

Colleges in the US will accept a high school diploma from Italy. But you do need a diploma to apply for colleges in the US, no matter how old you are.
