I want to study abroad in Japan.

Want to study abroad in Japan for biology.?

• I keep searching and searching but i cant seem to find any programs for Biology, why is that? I am also considering photography or philosophy. Can anyone help me find a school that can match any of these majors. also when is the best time to go to Japan, im a sophomore and this is my last semester until i transfer to a university. Any help regarding study abroad in japan will be appreciated.

  Hi Claudia, I assume you want to find a university which teaches biology, and I assume in English. There are several possibilities open to you. The government has a program called Global 30, which provides universities with start up money for internationalization. Several universities offer programs in biology, taught entirely in English. There are several private universities which offer this kind of thing as well, but I won't discuss them here. They tend to be expensive. However, if you want to explore that, google is your friend. Nagoya, Osaka, Kyushu, Tohoku, and my own university, Tsukuba (http://www.global.tsukuba.ac.jp) all offer biology courses of different types (Osaka is Chem-Bio joint, we are more integrated Environmental Sci, Tohoku is marine bio). The costs vary from place to place, although all charge domestic fees - 535,800 yen / year. Some give fees waivers (we do, 1st year plus entry fees waived), while others don't. Some offer accommodation (again, we guarantee low-cost accommodation for all 1st year students), while others don't.
