How can i study in the US?

• i want to get away for a year. i've been accepted into Universities in the UK but want to study for a year in America if possible? how do i go about this? is it too late? are there any websites i can look at? are there any summer courses or anything i can get into? anything that can give me accommodation while i study will be great

  I don't know that you'd get your student visa on time to do a summer program in the US, but you can certainly try. There are summer programs at many universities in the US, including at NYU, Parsons School of Design, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Boston University - many options. Check out their websites, see what you can find out about their summer programs, talk to them asap about visa issues. You will not get funding, btw. You need to be self-funded. Most do offer accommodation. NYU for sure does, and they have a huge summer program which attracts US and international students - start there first. This would be only for the summer, not a year. But it certainly would be fun. You can also talk to the unis that you got into in the UK, and ask them about study abroad years. This wouldn't be done next year, though - it'd be later in your studies. But it could give you the experience you're looking for.
