Studying medicine abroad?

  • Hello i come from Greece i will finish high school in two years and i want to study medicine. My aim is to study abroad especially in America.I am thinking of going to the united states or Argentina but before i make up my mind i would like some information .Which country is a better place for foreign students ? i have heard that Argentina is more economical and that is good for me as my family's financial situation is not the best(we will be able to afford studying in both countries but if Argentina is more economical why not study here) .I would also like to know which country provides you with better education on medicine (better quality) how to contact the country's universities. When i send them acceptance letters should i write in spanish ?

  • Answer:

In the US you do not go to Medical School after high school, You must complete 4 years of college and go through a very difficult competition for a spot in a Medical School. There are no scholarships for Medical School so you must borrow the money which is very expensive. You will need to send all correspondence in English as all teaching is in English. If you get a Medical Degree in another country, it is very difficult to get a Medical License in the US as the Medical training is one of the highest in the world.
