How can I become a Doctor in Australia?

Career Advice, Australia and become a Doctor?

• OK this may seem a little complicated, so I will be trying my best to break it down. --------------------------------------… I am currently 18 years old and have just completed an A-Level equivalent course that resulting in me getting ABB. I am currently going back to A-Levels to do: Chemistry, Biology and Phycology. My main goal is to study in Australia but I am still making up my mind on what course I should do and what career I want to pursue In the next 2 years I should have 6 A-levels but my main questions are: * Where would be the best place to study Biology in Australia? * What subject would I need to do at University if I want to become a Doctor, as in hospital wise for Health? * Are these A-Levels in science a good idea? * If I study a subject that would allow me to become a doctor in Australia, would I will be allowed to become a Doctor in the UK? I am current an Irish and British citizen, Living in the UK and haven't achieved a criminal record, would my visa be easy to obtain? Sorry if my Spelling or Grammar is out but i can reassure I am in the process of improving it. I am also getting questions together for when I go to the Australian Embassy Thanks for reading

  Biology - any of the major universities (US, UMelb, UQ) You need to just get in - the pre-req subject is irrelevant, you will need to get all As in your A levels. The UK/Aus medical system is similar so getting a degree in one will allow you (with only some paperwork) to work in the other country HOWEVER, in 2012 there is going to be a HUGE increase in the number of Australian medical graduates and from then on there will be almost no jobs available in medicine (only the top students will be able to even do an intern year as there are not enough places for everyone), so it is possible that junior doctors will be removed from the migration list in the near future.
